This kit contains all of the hardware to convert your two five gallon plastic buckets into a sturdy, high quality live trap. Assembly directions and pictures included. Standard 5 or 6 gallon plastic buckets will work. (Buckets are not included) All parts are powder coated for durability. Made here at The Snare Shop.

I bought this kit several years ago. Im on my 4th set of buckets, they get weather checked, so have to replace. Ive caught several 20 plus skunks, cats, and a small dog once. Never an issue, except for the small skunk that was able to lift and spray, a drop on my arm. Anyway great trap looking to buy another, but theyre sold out.

The kit itself is sturdy, but the hardware is a poor choice. I second the review that says to buy your own screws. Additionally one of the pieces the bait basket of the kit was faulty and will probably need to be replaced. The instructions were a different size that what was actually provided. Not a big deal when youve got the whole wrench set handy, but it did annoy me when I had only grabbed the listed tools from the shed.

Good idea if you don’t want the prey to see you, especially skunks!. Assembly wasn’t bad but tiny photos made it hard to see orientation of trip rod and hook, as well as spacing from bottom of bucket for trip pan bolts. Seems to work well. Would suggest mfr include a stake for convenience to keep prey from rolling trap over. Trap has a stake hole, but still.... Also two 5 gallon buckets really aren’t much bigger of a trap than the largest Haveaheart trap, but the bait stays dry in the rain. Someone in another review mentioned problems with carriage bolts but they must have listened because mine came with hex bolts. In the end, I would recommend this trap..

	A must for larger animals

Have been using the trap for two years and have caught many raccoons, skunks, possums. The larger animals are able to reach in and get the bait in the other traps without being caught. The only difficult part is releasing the skunks so I have a wood brace that holds the door open while I move far away.

	Great Trap

Ive had your live bucket trap in use for over 10 yrs. I can not find anything better, period. Even the buckets need changing due to sun damage. The flip bait door hinge broke and i just added duct tape. The coons never have attempted exit that way, they always work on the bars. I am such a fan I will take your ad to a Brighton Michigan feed store to sell. The ol Havahart is no match. Especially for skunks. I hoser out and reset. I guess I wonder if you where to galvanized cost would be to high. I will attempt to break old bolt nuts free to install new buckets. Now 63, Ill hope to get another 10 yrs...I have trapped easily 30 coons, two cats and one skunk! Hose it out and reuse .... simple.

	Good trap bad bolts

I want to start off by saying the design of the trap is very good but the 20 or so bolts they give you to assemble it are carriage bolts with a locknut to tighten them up but its a pain to grab the round carriage bolt head to stop the bolt from turning when you tighten the nut down. The bolts have a sqare shank that doesnt dig into the bucket when you turn the bolt so if you buy this make sure you have about 20 1 inch hex head bolts on hand. Thanks for reading my review.
