Tube Trap and Closed Cap or Access Hole Caps

Designed as a mink trap, but will also work great on squirrels, weasels, and other small rodents.

This trap has been around for over 20 years.

It is a 4" diameter tube, 15" long, 21 gauge steel construction.

The animal enters the trap from either end, steps on the firing pan in the center of the trap and the double torsion spring fires. This is a lethal trap.

The trap can be baited or not.

	AMAZING USA MADE TRAP

I am a novice and have never used any trap but a snap type rat or mouse trap. I read the really helpful instructions and set the trap at 8:30 AM. At 10:00 AM, my destructive squirrel was gone! I used peanut butter on the trap pan and laid a trail of salted, shelled peanuts leading into the trap. Be sure to read instructions on safety and setting the trap. There is a trick to setting that powerful spring easily. I am 65 and had no problem. Save the instructions for later. Thanks Snare Shop :-

I bought this trap in April 2019 and within two months, it eliminated 62 squirrels from bothering my bird feeder. It was still working great, but a skunk decided to check it out and I didnt like the smell, so I got rid of it and bought another. Seems like skunks also like peanut butter. Im so happy I bought it and would recommend it to anyone bothered by squirrels.

Put a little peanut butter on the paddle, set the trap and wait a little while...snap! . No muss, no fuss.

Bought this, then mounted it high on my 6 foot fence useing the holes in the trap body to screw it to the fence. Almost to the top where they run. Then I added a short piece of wood on one end, and on this I put peanut butter and some on the paddle inside. When he finds the peanutbutter on the wood, he smells the same on the inside and BAM!, got him. 12 in two weeks!

The apartment I rent is in an old home that has been overrun by squirrels. The landlord is unresponsive about fixing the house and the next door neighbors actually feed the squirrels by hand and treat them as their pets. I knew I couldnt shoot the squirrels outside because of the neighbors and I couldnt poison them because I needed to be able to get the bodies out of the house. I was about to move out when I came up with a plan using this trap. I opened up a 6 x 12 hole into the ceiling of my apartment bathroom to allow the placement of this trap between the floors. I placed the trap unarmed for 1 week to allow the squirrels to become used to it. I then baited it with a small amount of peanut butter on each side and a larger glob on the trigger plate. Once the trap was placed, I took off the safety and had a squirrel within 20 minutes. I removed the squirrel from the trap, reset and reapplied the safety, and replaced the trap in the ceiling to let the next squirrel clean the peanut butter off the trap. I have successfully caught and killed a squirrel with this trap each time I bait and set it, which has been weekly. It is sturdy and gives a clean kill with no external bleeding.

I have 6 of these traps now. They have been very helpful in controlling the massive over run of tree squirrels in my yard. I have been able to reduce the fruit tree damage dramatically ! I use a peanut in the shell with a rubber band holding it to the trigger plate and get as many as 3 squirrels a day.

	Finally a squirrel trap that works!

Caught a squirrel the very first day, after trying in vain for months with cage traps, ultrasonic sound emitters, etc. Make sure you set the bait on the tray before setting the trap. You dont want the spring to snap with your hand inside. Keep kids and pets away.

Our neighborhood is overrun with squirrels and I finally decided to do something about it. While browsing the Internet looking for live capture traps, I found the tube trap. Why have to deal with a caught angry squirrel? In two weeks I have removed 12 squirrels from the neighborhood. At first it was 2 or 3 a day, but now a slower pace. I smear peanut butter on both sides of the bait paddle and then I stick some shelled peanut halves and sunflower seeds into the pb glue. I place the tube on the ground between my squirrel proof bird feeder and the bird bath, where it is visible from my study but not visible to the neighbors, and I only put the trap out when I can monitor it, and not overnight. I can hear the SNAP. Oh, I found that a small pair of vise grip pliers are handy to hold the spring while I am removing the dead pest because my hands are small.

The trap is great. Set it at the the poist of entry and problem solved. I wish you had this for Raccoons
