I have purchased several of these snares for restraining alligators as part of my field research Im a graduate student in wildlife biology, and all work as described. Ive secured animals from 3-11+ feet long. These things are built to last and dont bend easily, either.

This snare worked perfectly. Once it tightens around a gator the lock keeps it tight. Definitely buying some more this season.
