Wolf Lock

Recently took the Idaho Wolf trapping and snaring course. I purchased the locks to build some snares as outlined in the class. I got my items within a few days of making my order. Will continue to buy from The Snare shop.

These are the real Berkshire sure locks. Watch out for cheap imitations, theyll break and the critter will get away.

I snare beaver, coyote and bobcats and have had varying results with several of the top promoted snare locks on the market, but keep returning to the Berkshire Sure Lock. Dependability is the name of the game and the Sure Lock is as dependable as it get. Word of advice to any beginner, dont gamble on other locks, choose the winner from the start...you definitely will not be disappointed.

Sure locks arent my favorite lock, but theyre definitely a great lock. When they lock down, the hog will be waiting on me, even if it was caught by the foot or snout. ****When building, I find that the snare end works best when it is bent at a 90 degree bend, rather than a full reverse bend like I use for many locks.
The ONLY thing that I dont care for about these locks is that they dont allow the snare to be coiled tightly and neatly when coiling/zip tying them the way that most other locks do. Anyone that has coiled them know what Im talking about. Minor issue, theyre still great.
